Building for Jonathan Ive

I created a huge skylight crossing the roof(might takes up half area of it!) to get the natural lighting for Jonathan Ive in the beginning.  Then i realized that interior space will be exposed in the sun all year long which is not beneficial for building in snowing mountain. Thus I minimized it into the size.

The stairs on the gound level connected the building with environment will be the only access to the building. Because it is the place coverd by heavy snow, I tended to create a building seated above the ground with several posts( adding soon).

The door in the side facada is related the edge of opening on the second floor.

Overall,  I feel like creating 2 storeys building for Jonathan Ive, according to the article says that Jonathan Ive was about going back to UK because he wanted his children to get education there and stay with family. Therefore, he mighe be the person who cares about family alot. In this case, I designed first floor for his family and second one which is quite illuminating for his business running here.

Elevator Test

These are images captured while riding the elevator. The short movie showing how it works will be uploaded soon.

Changes Made for the Valley

These three sandbox images captured are draft of valley and environment matches with offices and bridge.

The above picture shows the Aosta Valley in winter, which inspired me a lot about my landform and what the sonwy mountain looks like, especially the valley far away. But I might create the mountain in the early winter, which means the snow might not fully melt yet. Then the environment could be good match with the bridge and offices.

I have tried several different textures and overlaid them to get this snowy mountain so far, but there is still something wrong with it. I m going to develop it further.

Inspired Valley

not yet painted the texture yet, ToT. draft model of landform.

1.
Aosta Valley, Italy ----Lady Gaga
The sandbox landform is mainly inspired by the above photo of the Aosta Valley in Italy which is Lady Gaga's contry of origin.

2.
This picture inspired me in terms of the entrance of the valley, steep hillsides accompanied by relatively flat lower pathway.
